The basis of this paper draws on current work as a result of the Thematic Network for Teacher Education in Europe (TNTEE). defined since 1996, Sub network E of TNTEE has focused research and development on the role of Didaktik and Fachdidaktik( durante) ("area of interest related didactics") and moreover Bereichsdidaktik( en) (Didactics of various learning areas) And their potential to contribute to the development of the quality of teaching/studying/learning processes both in schools and also in teacher education.
